The White Figure I Saw as a Child | Black Castle of Africa

Some memories fade with time.

Others stay with you for the rest of your life.

To this day, I still ask myself the same question:

When I was about eight or nine years old, something happened that I have never been able to forget.

What did I really see?

I was at home with my family. One day, somebody knocked on our door. Being a curious child, I ran to answer it.

Outside was a friend of my elder brother. He said he had come to see my brother.

I told him to wait while I went inside to call him.

Everything seemed normal.

But when I came back and opened the door again, I saw something that shocked me.

Standing there was a figure dressed in bright white.

The light was unlike anything I had ever seen before.

The figure appeared tall, shining, and almost glowing.

I remember being overwhelmed with fear.

I immediately shouted and ran back inside the house.

Even now, years later, I can still remember how real that moment felt.

What makes the experience even stranger is that after it happened, I felt as if the image remained in my mind. It was difficult to stop thinking about it.

The next day, my mother took me to church.

I explained what I had seen.

The pastor listened and told me not to worry about it.

Life continued.

But the memory never left.

As I grew older, I realized that some experiences do not come with clear answers.

Was it my imagination?

Was it a trick of light?

Was it something spiritual?

Was it simply a childhood experience that felt larger than life?

I honestly do not know.

What I do know is that it left a mark on me.

Sometimes we spend our lives searching for explanations to moments that changed us.

And sometimes the mystery itself becomes part of our story.

I am sharing this experience today not because I have all the answers, but because I am curious about the questions.

Have you ever experienced something you could never explain?

Have you ever seen something that stayed in your memory for years?

Perhaps some mysteries are not meant to be solved immediately.

Perhaps they are meant to make us wonder.
